Michaels and Provo Craft have partnered again. This time they are hosting the Gypsy 24-hour Design Challenge -- a craft design challenge that gives you 24 hours to design and create a project using Cricut and Gypsy by Cricut. You could win a trip for two to New York City, tickets to a Broadway show, and a $2,000 shopping spree at the new Manhattan Michaels store. Four runners-up will win the entire library of 50 Cricut cartridges that are currently sold at Michaels.

On October 25 at 12:00 a.m. Cricut will announce on their message board what cartridges to use and what project categories are involved in the challenge. You then have 24 hours to design anywhere using your Gypsy, create using your Cricut, and submit your project.

Starting October 26 you will want to have friends and family vote, as the project with the most votes wins the Grand Prize trip to New York City and Michaels shopping spree.

Gypsy 24-hour Design Challenge details:

1. Check Cricut Message Boards, provocraft on Twitter and the 24-hour Design Challenge at Midnight on October 25 for Design Challenge details.
2. Create a project, photograph it, and submit it here no later than 11:59:59 October 25, 2009.
3. Encourage your friends and family to vote starting at midnight October 26 through midnight October 29 (extended voting dates!) at www.cricut.com/gypsy/designchallenge.
4. Provo Craft will announce winners October 30 at approximately 5:00 p.m. EST during a LIVE Gypsy by Cricut demo in the new Michaels store in Manhattan.
5. The Grand Price winner and four runners-up will also be announced October 30 on the Cricut message board, provocraft on Twitter, and the 24-hour Design Challenge.

Michaels stores across the nation will have live Gypsy demonstrations on October 25, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. You can stop by and see how it works and learn tips and tricks on how to use the Gypsy.
