Loews Don CeSar Beach Resort

The meeting ground between history and luxury in Florida can be defined by a select few of its magnificent resorts. Spanning back 100 years or more, Florida’s historic hotels not only serve as national landmarks, but go above and beyond the standard of luxury to envelope guests with an ambiance rich in culture and grandeur.

Known as Florida’s legendary pink palace since 1928, CeS The Loews Don CeSar Beach Resort is revered internationally for its sprawling sugar white beaches, unparalleled dining and rejuvenating Beach Club & Spa among many other amenities its guests enjoy. Converted from a luxury resort in the ‘20s to a hospital for wounded airmen in World War II and back to a resort of magnificence years later, “The Don” is a premier historical resort of Florida that has preserved the level of service from the Great Gatsby era of pampering.

The Biltmore Hotel is next on the list of historic hotels of dignity. Nestled in the elegant Coral Gables area of Miami, The Biltmore is surrounded by 150 acres of lush tropical landscapes which include an 18-hole golf course and the world-famous Biltmore pool. Having played host to Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Al Capone and assorted Roosevelts and Vanderbilts, The Biltmore fills the shoes of a national historic landmark.

Also on this distinguished list, The Terrace Hotel in Lakeland is considered by many to be the centerpiece of downtown Lakeland’s rebirth. Since 1924, the Terrace has combined state-of-the-art service with historic charm and excellence to win over guests with consistent splendor.
