Wine Appreciation to Higher Level

The Washington Wine Academy is the premiere local resource for wine education. Did you know the Washington DC area leads the nation almost every year in per capita sales and consumption of wine?

A July 2005 Gallup poll listed wine (not beer) as the leading beverage of choice for the first time ever in the United States! Living in this wine-rich environment we believe that learning about wine doesn't have to be an intimidating venture. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable learning experience, mixed with social as well as business opportunities for our audience. The Washington Wine Academy hosts public and private educational wine tastings, dinners and social events in and around the nation's capital. Our public courses are varied enough to be the perfect introduction to the world of wine or to augment your current base of knowledge.

The seminars and wine event series feature a variety of educational classes tiered to ensure comfortable surroundings for everyone from relative newcomers looking to learn the basics of wine to experienced industry professionals seeking world-class certifications.

Washington Wine Academy is a 501(c) (3) non-profit whose mission of wine education is evident in every detail of our events, from perfectly paired wines to the special details that mean so much to our clients - all to ensure your tasting experience is one to remember. Our faculty wine speakers include recognizable names such as wine columnists from the Washington Post, Washington Times and Washingtonian Magazine as well as well known authors, award-winning wine professionals, corporate buyers and television personalities.

Each session, whether our public course offerings or private tastings customized to your every request, offer incomparable instruction in a relaxed, approachable environment. We invite you to join us for one of our many public events, and we look forward to the opportunity to speak further about working with you individually on customized private events for your social, business or charitable needs. Cheers! http://www.washingtonwineacademy.org/
