Tickets are typically between $40-90 depending on the season, seats, and theater (discounts are available for children ages 6-17). As the Shakespeare Festival brings thousands of visitors to the town each year, its best to book accommodation in advanced. The city has a variety of accommodations ranging from hostels to
plush B&B’s.
In addition to all things theatrical, the recreational offerings are abundant. There is river rafting and jet boat rides on the Rogue and Klamath Rivers, and many pristine mountain lakes. Hiking abounds at nearby Crater National Lake and the Oregon Caves national Monument, just 90 miles east. In the winter there’s also skiing and snowboarding at the Mount Ashland Ski Area with over 20 runs – nearly all of them appropriately named after Shakespearean plays and characters.
