'Octo-Mel' Mel Gibson may need to get himself an Audi R8 to make headline auto news: Here's why

Superstar beloved good guy celebrity gone controversial bad boy Mel Gibson is back making headline news again. In recent years, he was arrested for DUI and stirred all kinds of trouble for himself making seriously obnoxious and prejudicial off-topic scapegoat remarks about Jewish culture while officers snapped the cuff shut on his arms. In recent months, the famous actor and film producer announced his divorce from long time partner and wife of 28 years, Robyn Gibson. Then, he topped the disappointing announcement off with the red carpet arrival of his new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, former paramour of James Bond blockbuster movie star Timothy Dalton.

This week, Gibson made yet another announcement and very public confession both on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and to People.com : the 53-year-old Passion Of The Christ star and father of 7 is soon to be father to 8 -- admitting that his new lover and single parent of the other movie star's child [Dalton's]  is now pregnant with his child.

Grigorieva, a 40 year old Russian pop star, obviously has wasted no time making sure she keeps a permanent connection with the still handsome and rich not-yet-divorced supposed to be devout catholic star. Though Gibson claims to have been estranged from his wife for at least three years now, once has to wonder if the final breaking straw in the marital collapse has to do with the new relationship for the randy pair -- and emotional support sentiment absolutely goes to the wife who has stood by and supported Mad Maxx Mel throughout his rise to fame and glory and during his fall from public favor (while bearing and raising his seven children).

On the Jay Leno talk show that aired in May of 2009 (making it Gibson's 21st appearance on the late night program), Gibson made a funny remark to the host inadvertently capitalizing on another new celebrity couple (of the reality television type, not the big screen theater version) and past classic film names with rather ironic superhero allusions (Octopussy--a 007 action adventure spy thriller [placing him just one degree away in logic from the film series played in by his new sweetheart's former lover Dalton] and Dr. Octopus from the Spiderman Comic series [funny due to the imagery involved with Gibson nor being able to keep his hands controlled or to himself]). Proclaiming himself "OCTO-MEL", reference to mum-of-octuplets Nadya Gutierrez, who is known as 'Octo-mom', Gibson tried to top pop culture media sensation couple "Jon and Kate plus 8" for headline ratings.

Jon Gosselin and wife Kate Gosselin have gained recent fame and notoriety for being the feature family on TLC [the Learning Chanel] network's reality TV series that documents their daily struggles and parenting of their eight  children. Celebrity gossip columnists have reported that the couple is struggling with marital issues. Kate has been accused of being overly controlling in the family home and not a terrific wife to Jon as she works to keep structure and order in what can easily be called a chaotic but function family home environment. Jon has been accused of stepping out on Kate -- allegedly having an affair with a woman he calls "just a friend" when cameras are not rolling. [Deanna Hummel]

Like family drama starter celeb-dad Jon, Gibson is also now being accused of stepping out to dally -- not keeping his marriage oaths to love, honor, be faithful, and cherish. Whereas Jon has announced he now wants off of the reality show series due to the pressures of intruding paparazzi, it's actually Gibson's wife Robyn who decided to file for divorce from the Gibson press-covered marriage -- and ownership for the failure of the vows have been accepted by the emotionally dysfunctional yet still shiny and brilliant star.

CAR SHOPPING ADVICE FOR CELEBRITY MEL GIBSON

The soon to be father of his own mismatched brood of 8 may need to buy a shuttle bus for the kids and his own small two seater coupe to drive in the lead if he expects to have any personal space or privacy. We suggest it may be time for him to buy an Audi R8 to go with his fashionable and trendy new Octo-mel nickname.

But then again... the star already seems to have forgotten that if he takes up permanently with the new mother of his next child (once the sure to be crushing divorce settlement payouts are final) that he'll actually become step-father to Dalton's child, making him the Gibson 9.

As the celebrity has proudly (albeit conceitedly) already announced, however, he has no plans to remarry despite the unwed mother status of his girlfriend. Though Gibson should be remorseful over openly and hypocritically breaking his marital religious vows, he's actually more concerned about his joint checking account [with Mel Gibson's worth reported estate holdings value in excess of $900,000,000 as a guess from the media and in the process of being confirmed by lawyers and accountant's now.]. As the actor had no pre-nuptual agreement in place at the time of his marriage, soon to be ex-wife Robyn will stand to collect half of the marital assetts automatically plus damages from Gibson's antics in addition to alimony and child support payments (earned fairly in most people's opinion).

Hopefully, he'll wise up soon and stop creating kids, having realized [perhaps] that 8 is enough. After all, can you imagine the car insurance rates with 8 or 9 teenager drivers, the cost to buy cars, and the garage space the families will need to keep vehicles garaged in these homes divided? On a positive note, if Gibson were to by the Audi R8 to use as a getaway car, famous auto news reporter Jeremy Clarkson of the BBC's hit "Top Gear" says the supercar cab ride is almost as quiet as being in church. The auto itself, though seriously quiet, is said to be a religious driving experience.
