Here's a list of kid-friendly events in West LA and nearby areas this weekend. Unless otherwise noted, these events are free. Enjoy!

BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY

9:00AM - 5:00PM - Native American Festival at the Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach. The annual Moompetam festival celebrates Native American cultures, particularly California Indian maritime cultures, with a program of traditional music, dance, storytelling and craft demonstrations. $20.95 adults, $11.95 children 3-11. Noon, 3:00PM and 6:00PM on Saturday and 6:00PM on Sunday - Disney Live Rockin' Road Trip at Nokia Theatre, LA Live, 777 Chick Hearn Ct., L.A.. 8:00AM - Noon - Pali's Giant Yard Sale at Palisades Charter High School 15777 Bowdoin Street, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272. Pali High hosts huge yard sale. Sellers may set up from 6am. Selling is free, and donated funds suggested to help support Pali High. Also recycler for electronics at event (old tv's, computer monitors, batteries, etc.) FREE admission. 10:00AM - Sesame Street Puppet Show at the Blue Chair Children's Books, 177 N. Glendora Ave., Glendora. Enjoy the puppets and a visit from Elmo. Free. Call 626-335-8630 for more information.

11:00AM - 3:00PM - Creepy Crawly Creature Feature at Star Eco Station, 10101 W. Jefferson Blvd., Culver City. This expo is an entomology wonderland populated with hundreds of bugs, spiders, butterflies and other interesting insects. $5.

4:00PM - 6:00PM - Rebecca Craft Time at American Girl Place, 189 The Grove Dr., L.A. Make crafts and activities inspired by the newest historical character doll, Rebecca Rubin. Ages 8 and older. Free. Call 877-247-5223 for more information.

6:00 PM - Sing-Along Sound Of Music at the Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Blvd., Hollywood. This audience-participation event is always a fun time as the Cahuenga Pass is filled with the "the Sound of Music." $6-$69.

7:00PM - 9:30PM - Family Evening Stargazing at The Huntington Library and Gardens, 1151 Oxford Rd., San Marino. The whole family can enjoy this celestial night gazing up at the skies. 8:00AM - Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services 5K Run/Walk for Suicide Prevention Race - The 11th annual Alive & Running 5K Walk/Run for Suicide Prevention will start just north of LAX at W. 88th St & La Tijera Blvd. in Westchester. More than 1,000 runners, walkers, spectators and volunteers are expected to join together to raise awareness and funding for suicide prevention services. Get caught in the web of arachnid entertainment and amusement in the museum's annual Spider Pavilion.
