According to the Department of Education, approximately 850,000 parents, teachers, and students participated in the 2009 Learning Environment Survey of their public school.

The survey, which is in its third year of existence, seeks to gather the opinions of the members of a school's community about overall satisfaction about various aspects of the school.  The results are factored in and count for 10% of a school's progress report.

You can find the results of your school by visiting this link on the  Department of Education's website: http://schools.nyc.gov/Accountability/SchoolReports/Surveys/find and entering your school's name or number.

To learn more about the survey, visit the DOE's website.
