Lesnar: "It's all over but the crying." (photo: Eddie Graveline)

Another hurdle on the way to the UFC 100 finish line was cleared this afternoon as all of the fighters on the card made weight without any issue. I was in the house taking it all in and along with some photos of the action on-stage, I have a few observations that fight fans may find interesting.

Brock Lesnar isn't super popular with the fans, at least not in Frank Mir's home town of Las Vegas. Both fighters had supporting factions in the crowd, but Lesnar definitely received a bigger share of the boos.  Frank Mir came in looking about as trim as I've ever seen him. He balanced the scale at 245 pounds, a full 20 less than his opponent.

Georges St. Pierre is wildly popular with the American fans. He got what was arguably the biggest ovation of the entire weigh-in. Thiago Alves, on the other hand, got booed the entire time he was visible. Contrary to some of the rumors swirling around on the web, he had no trouble making weight, hitting the scale at an even 170.

This shouldn't shock anyone, but Michael Bisping's antics as coach of the British team on the 9th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" didn't boost his popularity stateside. He got booed mercilessly, while Dan Henderson received a hero's welcome at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Most of the crowd's interest centered around the three big fights on the main card, however, undercard light heavyweight Jon "Bones" Jones got some nice applause during his weigh-in, which is a testament to how much of an impact he's already made with serious fans.

"Filthy" Tom Lawlor got things off to an interesting start by showing off some chest paint that read, "JUST BLEED."
