Cher and Chaz will continue their close relationship.
In a People exclusive, Cher has opened up about her daughter, Chaz, who now has decided to be referred to as he while undergoing a sex change.
"Chaz is embarking on a difficult journey, but one that I will support," she told the magazine. "I respect the courage it takes to go through this transition in the glare of public scrutiny and although I may not understand I will strive to be understanding. The one thing that will never change is my abiding love for my child."
Cher was heart-wrenchingly honest and open about her feelings and continued love and support for Chaz.
People also spoke with Chaz's stepmother, congresswoman Mary Bono and delved into the book Chaz wrote "Family Outing."
