A homeless dog is on the mend, thanks in part to his celebrity friends, whom he's never met.
Scooby-Roo is a pup who was found under a car with wounds and missing his two front legs, more than likely caused by a birth defect.
Fuzzy Rescue, an animal rescue organization in Los Angeles, is taking care of the 6-month-old mixed mutt pup with the floppy ears and sweet face. He has attracted the attention of Paris and Prince Jackson, according to Sheila Choi, CEO of Fuzzy Rescue.
The children reportedly want to raise the $2,000 Scooby-Roo needs for his first cart, Choi said, which came via TMZ.com, which told Choi about the kids intentions. They also memorized his bio from the Fuzzy Rescue web site. The Jackson family has not been in contact with her, but fans sure have.
Add Demi Moore to the fan list as she has Tweeted about Scooby-Roo's plight, which includes treatment for mobility. Donations are up, but the average donation is between $2-$15, much less than what's needed for Roo and the many other animals Fuzzy Rescue takes care of.
"He knows that he has limitations - he's very dependent on people for help to be carried out of the house or down the stairs - but he also doesn't want to be discriminated against because of his limitations," Choi told PeoplePets.com. "He's very friendly to everyone and anyone. He wants to lick everyone and kiss them constantly."
Roo has been fitted for his first cart. While Scooby-Roo's worries aren't over, he'll need new carts as he grows and continued physical therapy, Choi is looking for a good, solid, long term home for this happy pup with the famous fans.
