For those of you who may not be aware, this is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week. And in honor of that, a youth group in Llanedeyrn, Wales has teamed up with the local children's therapy center to create an 8-foot work of street art for the purpose of spreading the word among young people regarding this terrible disability.
The work is featured in an exhibit called "Art with Heart", and was inspired by the true stories of children stricken with cerebral palsy.
“I am on the Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales ‘Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week’ committee and I am thrilled to be representing the charity at the Art with Heart exhibition," said Thomas Evans, himself a cerebral palsy sufferer, to the South Wales Echo. "It’s great to see young people from Llanedeyrn getting creative with their street-art and helping us to raise awareness of cerebral palsy.”
The artwork is on display at Cardiff Bay's Castle Galleries from now through Saturday.
