July is rum month here at the Examiner, so let’s bring it to a close with a recap of the best places in Dallas to get great rum drinks.

Rum is terrific when it’s hot outside.  It’s light and clean tasting and goes well with so many different mixers--particularly fruit juices--which enhances its summer appeal.  Rum’s popularity has surged recently, no doubt due to the success of the Mojito and the recent arrival, the Caipirinha.  In fact, rum is so popular right now that Bacardi has released a new line of flavored rums, including the exceptionally  delicious DragonBerry, leading many to proclaim that “rum is the new vodka.”

Without further adieu, here’s a list of some of the hippest places to get mouth-watering rum drinks made by some of Dallas’ coolest bartenders.  Enjoy!

Rimach has even personally made mojitos for Jessica Simpson!"  Read more...
