The Espresso Martini will rev up your engines

I love the beauty of fall. Autumn tree leaves transform the landscape from green to crimson and gold. Brightly colored pumpkins loom on porches. Days shorten, while afternoon shadows lengthen. It’s time to put away the swim trunks and tank tops and pull out the flannel and fleece. No more margaritas and mojitos, the harvest season calls for something a little more appropriate.

This recipe for Espresso Martini comes to us from James Hollmer of Ritz Carlton Hotel. Bold, creamy, and chic, this cocktail will liven up even the chilliest of autumn evenings in Dallas. Also, the extra caffeine kick will rev up your engines so your hectic holiday schedule doesn’t have to take a hit.

Espresso Martini

Ingredients

  • ¾ oz Bailey’s Irish Crème Liqueur
  • ¾ oz Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
  • ¾ oz Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 2 oz Coffee Espresso

Directions
Prepare espresso in advance and refrigerate until cool. Combine ingredients in a mixing tin over ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with whipped cream and a chocolate covered coffee bean.
