Grand Hustle is looking for interns to learn about the music industry and participate in various events. Carefully read all the details below. Submit the requested information to: intern@dotpromotions.net.

Length of Internship:
30 day initial commitment

Position Title:
Contact representative for available titles.

Position Description: We are recruiting interns for a music industry online training program for Grand Hustle Records. Grand Hustle is home to artists such as T.I., Young Dro, Yung LA, DJ Drama, Big Kuntry Kane & many more. By the end of the training process, interns will be fully prepared & qualified to work for major record labels. D.O.T. Promotions is a promotional company with previous accounts with Warner Bros. records, Def Jam & Bad Boy; artists such as Jay-Z, P-Diddy, Gucci Mane, OJ Da Juiceman, Shawty Lo, Ginuwine and more. The internship also includes access to major celebrity events.

Qualifications:
• MUST BE at least 16 years of age
• Full access to a working computer, the internet, and a telephone

Skills Desired:
• Basic written and oral communication skills
• Web Savvy with significant knowledge of online “hangouts”
• Basic knowledge of, and access to MS Office Word, Excel & Powerpoint

General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Creating a DJ list & gaining feedback on music
• Recruiting local talent through online media
• Creating press releases and contacting media outlets
• Creating online social networks and generating a following
• Calling into the local radio stations
• Distributing promotional product, when needed
• Visiting nightclubs to network with promoters & DJ and monitor playlist

By the end of the process you will learn:
• The many different jobs in the music industry and where you fit in
• What records labels look for when they’re ready to sign artists
• The process of marketing a single to the public, including how to gain radio play
• How to promote an event without any advertisement on radio or television; and the difference between advertisement, promotion, and publicity
