Poll results: Gamers are everywhere!
A recent story courtesy of Seattle's KomoTV has some interesting statistics about video game players.Here's a condensed list of them from the article:
- The survey consisted of 2,054 U.S. adults and was conducted late last year, with a margin of error of ~2 percent.
- 81% of respondents between 18 and 29 said they play games
- 23% of people 65 and older play games
- Another Pew survey this fall found that nearly every teenager -- 97% -- is a gamer.
- The gender gap isn't as big as you might think: 50% of women play video games and 55% of men play video games.
- 57% of respondents who attended at least some college play games.
- 51% of high school graduates play games.
- 40% of people who have less than a high school education play games.
- 66% of parents or guardians of children under 17 play video games.
- 47% of adults without kids play games.
- 31% of parents with teenagers play video games with their kids.
