NCsoft announces Aion release date, closed beta

NCSoft has officially announced the release date for their upcoming MMO Aion, where you'll take the role in a war between diving beings to "determine the fate of the world."
Aion will be launching in North America on September 22, 2009 and in Europe September 25, 2009.Aion will also be available as a digital download at NCsoft.com, Direct2Drive and through Steam -- a leading platform for the delivery and management of PC games with more than 15 million accounts worldwide.
An interesting feature of Aion will be the use of flight as an important, strategic tool for movement and combat. If you preorder Aion at participating retailers -- including GameStop, Amazon and Best Buy -- you will receive access to the Aion Closed Beta.
Aion Closed Beta Dates
- Friday, June 19th to Monday, June 22nd
- Thursday, July 3rd to Monday, July 5th
- Friday, July 17th to Monday, July 19th
- Friday, July 31st to Monday, August 3rd
- Friday, August 14th to Monday, August 16th
