Getting married is a happy time, and should stay happy. Being a bride involves a lot. A lot of planning, money, details, and lets not forget a lot of joy! Along with all of these things unfortunately, stress often tags along. And who is there to help absorb some of the hectic decisions and costs of the wedding? The lucky bridesmaids of course!

Just as a bride wants to keep that joyous feeling throughout the wedding planning, so do her closest friends that are part of the special day. Money, or lack there of, and busy schedules often keep good friends from being able to accept or fully enjoy the bridesmaid title. How much is the dress? How much are the shoes? When are we being fitted? And possibly re-fitted? As much as I’m sure loving thoughts are swirling throughout the wedding party, these questions are not always relished. You can imagine now, my excitement at looking around all the department stores in Denver and finding the mother ship of ready-to-wear bridesmaids dresses.

The first store I definitely suggest every girl grab her bride... or maid and run, don’t walk to, is Nordstrom. Not only do they have a complete bridesmaids dress category and measurement suggestions online, they also have quality dresses for nearly any budget. The one I’ve pictured is $72 if you can believe it and is part of the popular color combination of pink and orange, ideal for spring and summer weddings in Denver. The best part is in a department store, you are most likely to find a dress that fits right off the rack so you can take it home and mark it off the list.

Nordstrom is the store where I have found the greatest selection and price range, but there are hidden bridesmaid-style dress treasures to be found in most department stores. Moving on from this amazingly simple dress shopping, I’m going over to the shoe department to find a match. How easy is this?
