The Red Bulls play two games in four days this week as they look to turn their season around. The job at hand will be made a lot tougher with the expected absence of strikers Juan Pablo Angel and Macoumba Kandji for the first game at Toronto FC. Both are carrying injuries that will likely keep them out of Wednesday's game.

New York will also be without Kevin Goldthwaite and Mike Petke for the trip to Canada due to suspensions, but Goldthwaite will return for Saturday's game at the Columbus Crew.

It has been more than six weeks since the Red Bulls recorded a victory in MLS action, but for the first time in a while they have something to build on heading into the TFC game. The Bulls produced a battling display to take a point against the Seattle Sounders last Saturday night, with the first-half performance in particular giving cause for optimism.

"We fought hard against Seattle, thought we played well in the first half, and obviously the results are not there and we need to win games because we're going to run out of games soon," defender Carlos Mendes told MLSnet.com after the 1-1 tie.

"But there's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel. I think one win will turn it around for us."

Of course, much like recent New York losses, it was a silly defensive error that cost the home team all three points.

In first half stoppage time rookie defender Jeremy Hall cheaply lost possession to Sounders striker Fredy Montero, who easily slotted home the equalizer. Despite the soft goal, coach Juan Carlos Osorio praised his side after the gritty performance.

"It was very difficult to come back from that dramatic goal against but at the end, it's a point and I think we played for our pride in the second half and I think it was worth it," he told Sportsnetwork.com.

Hopefully, the Bulls can produce another solid performance against Toronto on Wednesday, as they look to exact revenge for a defeat just 11 days ago in a similar fixture. These two sides met on June 13 at BMO field, with TFC recording a 2-1 victory courtesy of two first-half strikes.

Wednesday's game kicks off at 7.30 pm ET and can be followed on MLSnet.com, while Saturday's game in Columbus also gets going at 7.30 pm ET and can be watched live on Fox Soccer Channel.
