Lately it seems that reports of missing children and adults are at an all-time high. It's almost as if the moment you turn on the news there is coverage of a missing person case. Things have gotten so far gone, in fact, that there is a Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation. Something has to be done about the alarming rate at which this epidemic is growing.

The disappearance of Jennifer Kesse is one that has affected many people in Orlando. Her classmates, family, friends, and even others who joined the search after her disappearance, have been so deeply affected and so determined to discover her whereabouts the past few years and seem to be stopping at nothing to unearth the mystery of the case.

You may see the billboards and fliers and perhaps you have watched local news coverage but if you would like to get involved and learn more about the search for Jennifer and Florida's other missing children, you will have your chance this Thursday, July 9, at Ember.

From 530 pm to 9 pm, Ember presents Happy Hour benefiting the Florida Missing Children's Day Foundation. Admission for the event is $10 (which also includes a complimentary drink). Raffle tickets will be sold for $1/ each or $10/15 tickets. Unlike other events, cash and checks are accepted. All proceeds will benefit the cause. If you cannot attend the event but would like to learn more about the Foundation or would like to donate you can visit www.fmcdf.org. Enjoying happy hour is something that many Downtown Orlando residents do, so why not give your money to an amazing cause?

Everyday a child (or adult) goes missing and they are someone's friend and loved one. Jennifer Kesse meant so much to so many people, as do all of Florida's Missing Children, so if you can come out to support and donate to the cause please do. Their safe returns mean the most to so many people.
