Most people you meet are suckers for the holiday season and let's face it, any chance to forget that it's July in Florida is a welcomed offer. Everyone's heard of Christmas in July sales and specials but the generosity of the season is showing itself in a different form at Redlight Redlight.
Every Monday (until August 11) from 7 pm to close, Redlight Redlight turns into a Winter Wonderland complete with Santa and his elves, holiday movies, and Christmas/Winter ales on tap. The story is that the folks at Redlight Redlight may have stored up too much of their Winter ale and now want to share their over abundance with their patrons. Starting the 6th of this month, they have put the ales back on tap and have sweet-talked Santa to make an appearance and hand out gifts while Christmas movies play in the background and folks can lose themselves in the holiday spirit and forget that its about 100 degrees outside (at least until you get into your car and instantly feel suffocation from the summer sun.
Festive beers on tap include: Sierra Nevada Celebration, St. Feuillien Noel, Anchor Christmas, Scaldis Noel, De Dolle Stille Nacht, St. Bernardus Christmas, and Jewbelation 12 (not sure what this is but I can't wait to try it). There is no cover but this is a 21 and up event.
Who can turn down a night of holiday brew and presents from Santa? It's at least 6 more months until the slightest hint of chill will hit the air so beat the heat in an imaginary winter wonderland every Monday this month.
