I-drive just got a whole lot scarier!

Scary characters are taking over I-drive this weekend and I'm not referring to the usual mob of tourists. Wyndham Orlando Resort is playing host to Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror weekend- Florida's largest horror convention, dedicated to all things scary and gory.

The weekend of festivities includes live music, seminars, a few of the nation's top tattoo artists, independent filmmakers, a Creepy Costume Contest, FX artists, celebrity poker tournament, pool parties, classic and independent films, and the popular gaming room with over 30 flat screen TVs and gaming consoles.

Attendees will be able to take part in Q&A sessions with stars and directors, enjoy film festivals, and browse through a ton of vendor offerings.

Celebrity guests will also be in attendance and include:

Shannen Doherty, John Landis, Fairuza Balk (oh, how I loved The Worst Witch), Linda Blair, Tippi Hedren, Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees), and daughter of Boris Karloff, Sasha Karloff.

The weekend kicks off with the Zombie Walk, which takes place at Friday's Front Row. Join your fellow zombies and some surprise celebrity guests to make a ghoulish walk across the street to the Wyndham to kick off the Ultimate Horror Weekend. Tip: Be careful crossing the street, a tourist in a rental car stops for noone, and technically you aren't really the undead.

The 3rd Annual Zombie Walk, which takes place Friday, October 9 (1 pm- 5 pm) is free and open to the public. Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend is $40 for the weekend pass, $25 for a day (Friday and Sunday) pass, Sunday pass $30, Poker Tournament pass $130.

For the ultimate horror film buff there is no better place to be! Put on some of your best horror make-up, reserve a room, and have the Ultimate Horror Weekend!
