Ryan Craig (TBL Media File)

According to Damien Cristodero of the St. Petersburg Times, the Lightning has put Ryan Craig on re-entry waivers. The cost is $15,000 and it won’t be known until noon tomorrow (Thursday) whether he clears and joins the team or if he’s picked up by another.

Craig was put on waivers at the end of training camp and cleared waivers then, but it’s possible that won’t be the outcome now. Currently playing for the Lightning’s minor league affiliate Norfolk Admirals of the AHL, Craig is tied for the team lead in goals (7) and points with Brandon Bochenski and Paul Szczechura (9).

Should Craig clear waivers, the team will need to make a corresponding move since they are at the roster limit of 23.
