Of course you do…and Milford, Michigan is the place to be on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The Michigan F-Body Association, the area’s leading Camaro/Firebird enthusiast community, is hosting their 5th Annual Michigan Meet and Greet Car Show on Saturday, from 7am to 4pm.  The event, which has over 320 registered vehicles and quite a few non-registered vehicles expected to show up, will be held at Bakers of Milford on Milford Road.  (Here is a link with directions).

While the organization hosting the event caters to Camaros and Firebirds from the 1960s up to the new 2010 Camaro, group administrator Brian Meissen tells me that this is more than just an F-body show.  Yes, there will be a great many Camaros and Firebirds, but over the past few years they have welcomed everyone and with this year being the first year for awards, the group has even added a class for non-F-Body vehicles.  Meissen hopes that this show will continue to grow and not only benefit the f-body community but the enthusiast network in Michigan as a whole.  Other awards will include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each generation of the f-body, as well as best Camaro, best Firebird, longest hauler, and of course the best in show.  As a special feature, General Motors Camaro Development Team will be coming out with a few 2010 Camaros to show off to the crowd. 

Food and beverages are available both inside of Bakers of Milford (full sit down menu) and for those who don’t want to miss any part of the show they will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers as well.  Other than Michigan F-Body Association and Bakers of Milford, the show is sponsored by CS3 Automotive and Motor City Hi-Performance, who are sponsoring the trophies.  Last year, the show got foul weather early on and still got almost 200 cars throughout the day but with over 320 registered and nice weather planned for tomorrow, a trip to Milford will be well worth the drive for all automotive enthusiasts.  I will be out there to cover the event and I will provide pictures for those who aren’t able to make it, but if you aren’t busy tomorrow, cruise on out to Bakers of Milford between the hours of 7am and 4pm.
