We live in perilous times, thanks to the gang of criminals in Washington, D.C., i.e., Congress. Very few people on the Hill understand what they have created, much less do they understand what needs to be done. Instead of letting socialism fail, they buy into old, Keynesian dogma, believing that they can save socialism through more inflation.
We have been lied to for a long time. Debasing the currency is no longer called inflation; it is called creating liquidity. Price inflation is no longer called inflation; it is called economic growth. Government spending is no longer socialism; it is called investment. In a paradigm like this, no wonder Washington is a ship full of fools. The sellout is bipartisan, and we need men and women who have strong moral convictions about the need to do what is in the best interest of the country.
As a disabled veteran, I have seen that the propaganda doesn't fit the facts for quite some time. The politicians have been busy throwing so much fiat money in every last direction that the country is now insolvent. Promises made to veterans haven't been kept for years; that is a corollary of the insolvency. For example: the VA can use any excuse it wants to withhold education benefits. Meanwhile, people receive Social Security checks for being alcoholics. The VA has been withholding my education benefits, and while I have tried to inform certain members of Congress, there was never any attempt by any Congress critter to resolve anything. I might as well have been trying to speak to walls.
As the government has metastasized, so, too, has corruption. Even lower level employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs see their position within government as license to lie. Meanwhile, members of Congress are indifferent to the misfeasance that they subsidize.
I would like to start by naming a few stinkers on the Hill. Congressman Jim Ramstad's office was much less than helpful. Senator Norm Coleman's office was condescending. One word for Congressman Jon Porter's office: abomination.
Congresswoman Shelley Berkley's office has been a mixed bag. While Congresswoman Berkley's office hasn't really resolved much, and, at times, certain persons have gotten an attitude and tried to obfuscate a few things, at other times the office has been great. Accolades for a few things, but criticism for others, would be my assessment of Congresswoman Shelley Berkley's office. That said, my endorsement of Shelley Berkley's opponent has nothing to do with personalities, but with the Congresswoman's politics. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley has demonstrated through her neoconservative, pro-war, pro-socialist voting record that she hasn't the understanding of the problems this country faces.
While I may not agree with every candidate on every issue, this is my short list of candidates who are solid enough that there is no question in my mind that they would receive my vote if I resided in their district.
