You've got a golden ticket! Grab the whole family and join KCRW (arguably the best radio station on the air) for a fun night under the summer sky to watch one of the best movies ever made. It's one of my all time favorites, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Yes, I'm talking the original Gene Wilder, circa 1971 version. And it's free! It will serve as the kickoff to Free For All Movie Mondays at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. There will be a different movie shown on Monday nights during the Free For All. Click here for the list of upcoming movies.
What a fun and different way to spend some family time on a warm summer night. Grab some cozy blankets or chairs, make up a picnic basket, (don't forget the sodapop and licorice if you so desire), and head on over to the Orange County Performing Arts Center’s Community Plaza. The movies will be projected onto the side of Segerstrom Hall. They will be setting up at 5:30 PM, and the movie will begin around dusk, about 8:00 PM.
I'm a sucker for picnics, movies, and stuffing my face; so combining all three is a no brainer for me....I'm all over this one! And did I mention it's free? See you there!
