The Tiki bar is a dying delight in this foggy city, through no fault of those of us loyal to the cause. On the other hand, it seems as though every week a new French bistro or restaurant is throwing open its doors and warming the nightlife with the promise of delicious nips and wine.

But never the twain shall meet, until now, and what a blessed union it will be.

Martin Cate of Smuggler's Cove has just announced that he will be pairing his cocktail expertise with the renowned Jardinière's usual Monday night prix fixe $45 wine-pairing meals to bring you Tiki Night. Not only will the three-course meal be tropically themed, with the usual exceptional wine pairings hand-chosen for your pleasure, but Martin Cate will be on hand whipping up what he touts as "obscure and magically delicious exotic cocktails to make sure you will most certainly need a cab" at the night's end.

Reservations can be made here, and the menu for the tiki dinner and the rest of their November wine nights can be found here.
