Come September 25, you might see a convoy of green and gold headed north, then west to Tallahassee.

The "can't wait" game for USF fans comes on September 26 when the Bulls face Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium.

USF has been alloted another 1,000 tickets by the generous FSU ticket office and that could bring the total of USF faithful to 8,500.

That's pretty good considering those tickets are $55 a pop.

That's only $33 less than what you can pay for a USF season ticket.

If those sell out, don't be surprised if a few more come available.

The fallout from USF signees who didn't qualify academically is just about over and here's the casualty list:

Ivan Nicholas, Adarius Bellamy, Gerard Atkins, Kevin Williams and Khyri Thornton.

Nicholas, a safety from Jacksonville, is the younger brother of  former USF linebacker Stephen Nicholas, now with the Atlanta Falcons.

Thornton, has already signed with Southern Mississippi.

Gerard Atkins, a tight end from Dixie Hollins, may become a grayshirt and enroll at a future date.

Kevin Williams was a running back from Gibbs and Los Medanos Junior College.

Bellamy was one of the first non-qualifiers to drop from the list of signees.
