The Ormond Beach, Florida Chamber of Commerce has announced the Fall Carnevale at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona to be held Thanksgiving weekend 2009. Carnevale admission is free to the public and includes live music, "Elvis" performance, classic car show, arts and crafts fair, and celebrity lookalike contest with prizes awarded. Carnival games and rides as well as a variety of food and drink will be available at minimal cost.
Destination Daytona is located at Interstate-95 and US Rte. 1 in Ormond Beach, Florida. This sprawling complex features a large scale music pavillion as well as many retail shops and restaurants such as the top rated Daytona Pig Stand BBQ and Houligans's Sports Bar and Grill (try the Wally Wings!). There is ample parking and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere at Carnevale, which is hosted by the Ormond Chamber for the second time this year due to overwhelming positive response to the first event.
Randy "Elvis" Filippe is headlining the musical performances on Saturday night. "He has a huge local following. It will be a great show," says a representative for the event. Each day of the Carnevale promises excitement and a great way to spend the holiday weekend with friends and family.
