Nov 7, 2009 - A much anticipated bout between Fedor Emelianeko and Brett Rogers ended early in the second round as Emelianeko stopped Rogers with a hard right cross, catching Rogers with his guard completely down, ready to swing for the fences.

Rogers may have bloodied Emelianenko's nose with the first punch of the night but Fedor did not seem to flinch, instantly throwing back a combination.  The first round was engaging, but Emelianenko obviously was the more experienced fighter.

Brett Rogers, who was undefeated in ten fights previous to this, does seem to have a promising MMA career ahead of him and we will no doubt see more of him.  Hopefully Emelianenko feels that he has made his mark on American Mixed Martial Arts and will consider some UFC fights in the future.
