Dietitian Valerie Berkowitz shares how low-carb improves health

About a year ago, I had an Atkins-mentored physician from New York City appear on my podcast show named Dr. Keith Berkowitz who works directly with patients dealing with a variety of metabolic problems that livin’ la vida low-carb can help resolve. At the time, he told me about a new book he was working on with his registered dietitian wife and now that book is available. Today we have with us the co-author of that book who was the late great Dr. Robert C. Atkins’ choice to be the registered dietitian for his complementary medicine practice.

In Episode 251 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show with Jimmy Moore,” we hear from Valerie Berkowitz, a low-carb nutrition expert who understands the purpose of a high-fat, carbohydrate-restricted diet for weight management and optimal health. She and her husband Dr. Berkowitz help their patients at the Center For Balanced Health and have now written a brand new book entitled The Stubborn Fat Fix: Eat Right to Lose Weight and Cure Metabolic Burnout without Hunger or Exercise. During the interview, Valerie discusses “metabolic burnout,” the major health issues she is seeing patients today, why some people eating a low-carb diet struggle, what foods should be eaten for health, and so much more invaluable information from this powerful new low-carb book. Enjoy the enthusiasm that Valerie brings to the subject of low-carb living!
