If you haven’t made trick or treat plans or found the perfect outfit that is going to win you that prize money in the costume contest, don’t worry; there is still time.  I have the perfect plan for those of you who read these stories and actually follow-through with my advice. I’m not sure if I can promise any winning lottery numbers here or if you will even look good in those winning costumes once you are given the answers to what ails you.  But, I found a location and event that didn’t surprise me to see that when it comes down to art and fun ... these good art-lovin' people always have you covered. Yep; Art & Invention Gallery has done it again.

This Saturday, HALLOWEEN, Bret and Meg will have their doors open for two main events; both spell bounding and eerily delightful for the curious folk venturing around East Nashville. First, in honor of celebrated Halloween customs and Art & Invention fantastic workshops galore, there will be a Day of the Dead Mask Workshop. From 2pm-4pm, for the mere price of $15, you can decorate your very own wooden skull mask (typically called calacas) as many others in the 1,000 year old Mexican ritual known as El Dia de los Muertos have done before in order to dance and honor their deceased relatives and ancestors. This lovely tradition is a unique opportunity for all ages to fully enjoy the holiday festivities with special purpose and to honor both life and death in a culturally rich, art-filled manner.

Not to totally be outdone by the masks, nationally known psychic, intuitive consultant, speaker and author, Carole Kennedy is coming to make an appearance to uncover your futures before they happen with personal psychic readings upon reservations. As seen on Oprah or read about in Nashville Lifestyle Magazine, Kennedy will be making her third annual appearance at Art & Invention Gallery in a row to give you intuitive readings and answer your questions. Youngsters beware! This fun, from 10am-5pm, is by appointment (see contact info below) and adults 18 years and up only. You didn’t think we were going to be able to give you ALL the answers now did you? We all had to go through those awkward years and figure some stuff out for our own as well. What don’t believe me? Almost all parents were considered cool at one point before you came along, lol.
