To catch a true life paranormal glimpse into the world of jazz legend Eddie Benitez, don’t miss the episode of the Discovery Channel’s series, A Haunting featuring a real life haunting in the life of Eddie and his family. See the story of the possession of Eddie’s oldest son and the effect that had on his family.
“Casa de los Muertos” airs again today on The Discovery Channel, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Check local listings for other time zones and satellite t.v. times.
Eddie has always seen spirits, but what happened at their home in Tempe, Arizona a few years ago went too far. Eddie’s oldest son, Eddie Jr., was possessed by a malevolent spirit in the house, an evil man who had died in the house and whose spirit refused to move on. When no one could help them, Eddie turned to his Puerto Rican heritage and the method of exorcism his mother had taught him years ago in Brooklyn.
This haunting and exorcism is well depicted in this episode of A Haunting, but there is more! In the upcoming book, Angels on My Stage: The Eddie Benitez Story, you will find more details of the haunting that were not included in the t.v. episode. There’s only so much that can fit into a one hour show, and you’ll get the rest of the story in full detail in the book!
