Press conference in wake of Oscar Grant killing

Much of the news coverage of protests in the wake of Oscar Grant’s killing--Grant was shot and killed by a BART officer on New Year’s Day--has focused on the violent turn the protest took as day turned to night.  This morning’s article in the San Francisco Chronicle reports that a smaller number of the larger group is responsible for much of the violence that occurred.  

The following videos feature passionate but peaceful calls for justice from earlier in the day.
