The first week of 2009. It seems like an eternity has passed since any games were released. Is this week a case of 'the wait's over'? or will gamers have to 'keep on waiting'? When one of the biggest games is based on a dog movie, let's keep on waiting.

Multiplatform:

Hotel for Dogs, a pet simulation based on the upcoming movie, is out the PS3, 360, Wii, DS, and PSP.

Nintendo Wii:

For those who love games about pets and animals there's Pets & Claws Pet Resort and Fishing Master World Tour. Score!

Xbox 360:

There's already Hotel for Dogs, what need is there for other games this week?

PlayStation 3

Ditto for PS3 owners

Nintendo DS:

The DS is back to clogging up retail shelves by having more games than is humanly necessary. The intriguing Retro Game Challenge is out, as is Jumble Madness, Big Bang Mini, and Bigfoot.

PlayStation Portable:

No releases this week for the PSP besides the soon-to-be awesome Hotel for Dogs.
