As the world stops to witness the historic inaguartion of Barack Obama (and the end of President Bush-woohoo!), the video game industry defies everyone by actually releasing games this week. Defiance-f**k yeah!

Multiplatform:

The new premier skateboarding franchise returns with a brand new game, Skate 2 for the PS3 and 360.

Nintendo Wii:

Wii owners can look forward to Deal or No Deal, which got delayed apparently for quality reasons. Speaking of delays, Ultimate Shooting Collection finally arrives to stores. Also in stores will be SimAnimals and Deer Drive. On the WiiWare side, there's High Voltage Hot Rod Show from developer High Voltage, makers of the upcoming FPS, The Conduit

Xbox 360:

360 owners get Stoked, a snowboarding game and The Maw, a 3D platformer.

PlayStation 3

Nothing more besides Skate 2.

Nintendo DS:

The DS has another relatively small list this week with Wonder World Amusement Park, Jumble Madness, and Big Bang: Mini.

PlayStation Portable:

The first game of 2009 for the PSP is Star Ocean: Second Evolution

For more info: Check with retailers if the games are actually in stores.
