The Nintendo Entertainment System is quite possibly responsible for the legions of gamers and fanboys we have today. It is the system with probably two of the best Mario games ever (that would be the 3rd and the 1st one) and the original Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out, Castlevania, Tecmo Bowl. The point is that the NES has had some classic games and memories and some great pop culture references.

Sydlexia.com has compiled 50 of the best quotes from the NES. Games that have memorable quotes that every gamer has to know. From bad translation like Pro Wrestling (A Winner is you!) to classic lines from Super Mario Bros. (Thank you Mario! But our princess is in another castle) to really hard to get lines, like in Super Mario Bros. 3 (Hello! You found my shop of strange and wonderful things*).

Not only does the site have the screeshots and the lines from the games, it even provides the context of the lines, it even shows to make the appear in the games.

Here's the link right here: http://sydlexia.com/nesquotes1.htm

I'm gonna go work on the Super Mario Bros. 3 quote by *you can only get that quote by getting a specific number of coins on certain levels. It's really, really tough to do.
