Right off the heels of Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, EndWar, and Valkyria Chronicles, the video game industry continues the war on your wallets. Not that I'm complaining about the quality of the content coming out, but does it all have to be in November? Couldn't one of these publishers wait until a release schedule isn't crowded in order for their games to have a better chance of success? I mean, I still have money in February.

Multiplatform:

It's all action on every console and handhelds as the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (it's yearly series now?!?) is released. If sweaty grappling isn't your bag, then guns may do it for you as Call of Duty: World at War is released using the COD4 engine on all three consoles and bringing more great online play...to World War II, with zombies. PS3 and 360 owners have the groundbreaking Mirror's Edge to look forward to. And PS3, 360, and PSP owners have Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 to look forward to.

Nintendo Wii:

Wii owners actually have a solid week to look forward to. Facebreaker K.O. Party will be out and hopefully EA can capture the manic fun successfully on the Wii that couldn't be found the 360 and PS3. Also, all Star Wars fan are getting closer to realizing their dream of playing a lightsaber game with Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. If any of the past Star War games are any indication, this is going to sell well, even if the quality might be lacking, like the Force Unleashed. If there are any RPG fans on the Wii, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the World might be your fix for the season.

Xbox 360:

Rare gets back to showing off their platforming prowess with the release of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Also, strategy fans are in luck with the release of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

PlayStation 3:

PS3 owners don't have any exclusives to look forward to.

Nintendo DS:

DS owners get some remakes and reimaginings of some classic games this week with Populous DS and Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff. And for any future college students, futureU: The Prep Game for SAT might be a worthwhile pickup.

PlayStation Portable:

No exclusives to look forward to.
