The holidays are here and while most guides are full of games to get hyped on an enjoy, there are some that our out or on their way to being released around this time that doesn't deserve your money or your time. I'll also show some alternatives so that way you can play a game of 'let's not and say we did'
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe-Why it could rock:The hype on this game has been well warranted with the inclusion of the DC Comics characters, who have never had a game that has done any of the characters justice. Why it could suck: It's still Mortal Kombat and the gameplay has never, ever lived up to its hype as long as it has existed and all the online gameplay won't change that. Instead: Go for Soulcalibur IV, it has the superior gameplay and you can actually make a character with its awesome character creation system.

Call of Duty: World at War-Why it could rock: It packs the same gameplay from the excellent Call of Duty 4 and adds new weapons and modes for all three systems. Why it could suck: It packs the same excellent gameplay from the excellent COD4 and throws it back to WWII (This doesn't apply to Wii owners). Instead: Call of Duty 4 is still excellent and still has a thriving online communty and the modern-day setting is still refreshing amongst the usual doomsday scenarios of other FPS.

Need for Speed: Undercover-Why it could rock: It brings back the cops and robbers chasing thrills of Hot Pursuit 2. Why it could suck: Cheesy storyline and an almost too aggressive AI that can discourage longer playtimes. Instead: Burnout Paradise is still around and is still one of the fastest driving games around and it does it half the price (on Amazon.com).

Quantum of Solace-Why it could rock: James Bond fans still harbor great memories of Goldeneye 007 and with gameplay from both movies (Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace), it should pack a bunch of action thrills. Why it could suck: It was developed by Treyarch, who probably had their hands full with Call of Duty: World at War and trying to get a movie tie-in done on time. And seeing as Call of Duty: World at War is getting good reviews, it's not hard to tell which game is suffering in quality. Instead: Just see the movie-it's cheaper and quicker.

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels: Why it could rock: Wii remotes should easily translate to an ultimate Star Wars game filled with lightsaber glory. Why it could suck: Because it's based on the Clone Wars miniseries-so no Vader or Luke Skywalker and motion controls aren't perfect for this. This was made to sell more merchandide based on the Clone Wars instead of making an all-out lightsaber game that the fans truly want. Instead: No More Heroes does have beam katanas and the combat and violence is so wondefully over the top and it even has references to Star Wars. It's the best lightsaber/beam katana game on the Wii.
