Everyone is buzzing about the runaway couple. Michael sneaks into the pew behind Pam’s mother (Helene) and asks if she has any snacks. The two strike up conversation: she’s upset about her ex’s young girlfriend and he’s annoyed with the Dwight/roommate situation. Michael and the Mother of the Bride are a possible match. Could there be romantic interest?
When the bride and groom finally rush into the church, everyone (but Toby) is relieved. Things get interesting during the wedding march. Pete signals the pianist to cut the music, tugs his ear in Dwight’s direction, and Chris Brown’s “Forever” blasts from the speakers.
The wedding party begins dancing to the music, a la Jill and Kevin with an Office twist. Michael shimmies and shakes down towards Pam, who greets him with a smile. Jim and Pam watch from each end of the aisle. Andy uses his walker as Erin prances around him, Bob smacks Phyllis from behind, Stanley and Cynthia follow their lead, Angela uncomfortably shuffles, clinging to her purse (and dignity), Ryan and Kelly do the sprinkler, Oscar and Kevin swing their arms in a robotic fashion, Dwight Kung-Fu kicks Isabel to the face and Creed grabs himself.
Throughout the dance snippets Jim and Pam’s AWOL moments play. The couple boarded the Maid of the Mist and exchanged vows with the captain. Both are soaking wet from the nearby Niagara Falls and couldn't be happier.
When they are pronounced husband and wife, Jim and Pam share a kiss. Michael has tears in his eyes. The entire church erupts into applause.
Jim explains that after watching the YouTube video, the boat was Plan C, the church was Plan B and marrying Pam was Plan A.
The “Niagara Falls” episode closes with a couple scream-worthy moments. Kevin talks about how fun the wedding was – he apparently got six numbers, and one more would have been a complete number. Kevin opens the door to the ice machine room, takes off his Kleenex box shoes, hops onto a chair and dunks his feet into the community ice box. The camera pans down the hallway and spies Michael and Helene’s romantic tryst. Michael could eventually become Pam’s stepfather. Yikes.
