Maple Lawn's Proposed Building Four

The 2 million square foot "traditional" mixed-use development Maple Lawn, located equidistant between Washington D.C. and Baltimore, MD, has a new leasing team.

MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC has been retained for the office, retail, and medical office space in Maple Lawn, a 600-acre community developed by Greenebaum and Rose Associates Inc., the commercial real estate firm of noted philanthropist Stewart Greenebaum.

Maple Lawn is built on the principles of Traditional Neighborhood Development. Pedestrian-scaled neighborhoods with small blocks and interconnected tree-lined streets were developed to encourage walking to work and retail as well as interaction among people.

MacKenzie's first tasks include marketing 30,000 square feet of class A medical office space and 15,000 square feet of class A office space in the development's three existing office buildings. A fourth building proposed for the project - pictured above - will include up to 110,000 additional square feet for lease.

"We are currently seeking a large tenant to initiate construction of the fourth building. The steel is on site, the building permit is in hand, and the building can be delivered in about 15 months," said Gary Applestein, Senior Vice President and Principal of MacKenzie.
