Either your kids brought home pillowcases full of sweet treats, you had extra from a lack of trick-or-treaters, or you picked some up at the grocery store on clearance the morning after, but chance are good that you've got leftover Halloween candy.  Aside from eating it, what can you do with all those sweets?  Turn them into goodies for your next party, of course!  Read on for the Boston Party Planning Page's favorite ways to reuse your Halloween candy.

Brownies
Whip up a batch of brownies.  When they're almost done baking, layer leftover Peppermint Patties on top and pop them back in the oven for a minty sweet treat.  You can also chop up your favorite candy bar and mix it in with the batter to begin with.

Cake
Putting bits of Crunch bars, Heath bars, or Snickers in with your cake batter will result in a cake that's been jazzed up a notch.  You can even used chopped up candy on top of the cake's frosting for decoration.

Candy apples
Capitalize on the end of apple season by making candy apples.  After you've dipped your apples in caramel or candy coating, roll them in chopped up Halloween candy like Butterfingers or Krackle bars for an unexpected twist.

Cupcakes
Pop a mini candy bar inside your next batch of cupcakes for a sweet gooey middle.

Decorations
Don't know what to do with all those chemical-packed popcorn balls?  Turn them into centerpieces for a winter party by stacking them atop one another and decorating them to look like snowmen.  You can also use leftover candy to decorate gingerbread houses or gingerbread men.  Use Kit Kats for doors, Nerds to make pathways, Hershey bars as shingles... the possibilities are endless.

Ice cream
Save yourself a trip to Coldstone Creamery or even a pint of Ben and Jerry's by chopping up your favorite candy to use as a mix-in for ice cream.

Party favors
Bag up handfuls of candy that isn't wrapped in Halloween-themed packaging and give out party favors at your next birthday, Thanksgiving, or holiday party.  You can even find treat bags or decorations to theme your party favors.

Trail mix
Use bags of M&Ms or Skittles to add pizzazz to trail mix.  Mix together any combination of dry cereal, nuts, dried fruit, and candies for a easy snack to grab and go.
