The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, stated that an Arab is no better than a non-Arab in the eyes of God. And that the only way a human being could be superior over another human being was through piety.

Going along with the spirit of that philosophy, President Obama has called for a national conversation on race. And so Washtenaw County intends to respond to his call by offering a special series of events for the concerned public.

The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor presents the Race & Reconciliation Workshop: A Community-wide Conversation on Race.  The daughter of Desmond Tutu, Nontombi Naomi Tutu, will guide this discussion.

Event details:

Location Rackham Auditorium 915 E. Washington St Ann Arbor, MI Time Nov 13th-15th, various times throughout the day.  Contact raceandreconciliation@yahoo.com for more information.
