Former Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams had warned rookie Mike Jenkins not to wear No. 31 because it was bad luck. Jenkins doesn't say why Williams that the jersey number was bad luck, but Jenkins took it to heart when he pulled his hamstring last season.
So, this year, he decided to switch to No. 21. He said he chose that number to honor Sean Taylor, a former rival Redskins who was murdered.
Jenkins also says he believes he will be the starting right cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys with Anthony Henry's departure to Detroit.
