The Dallas Cowboys extended linebacker DeMarcus Ware's contract to 2015--a $78 million deal with $40 million guaranteed. His salary will average about $13 million a year.

Ware, who was held sackless for four games, has four sacks over the past two games, including two last night in the win over the Atlanta Falcons.

He also has a stress fracture in his foot, which led some people to question why the Cowboys decided to sign the linebacker to a long-term deal while he was injured. Oddly enough, since Ware's injury has been reported, he's has the four sacks.
