Adam "Pacman" Jones has finished his rehab assignment and now he's waiting on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to make a decision: can he come back or not?
Goodell has levied a hard hand on NFL players who misbehave. Jones was involved in a fight with his bodyguard on Oct. 7 at a hotel in Dallas. News reports varied from the bodyguard actually started the fight, to Pacman hit the bodyguard in a drunken stupor. Whatever happened, Goodell did not appreciate Jones being drunk. He needs to be able to contain his own anger.
Before his exit from the NFL, Jones led the Cowboys with pass defenses. As we saw against the Washington Redskins, Terence Newman played the best of any cornerback on the team so far. It was such a refreshing scene to watch a Cowboys cornerback make an interceptions. Putting Pacman on the opposite side sure would make a pretty menacing secondary, one the Cowboys have desperately needed for almost a darn decade.
Goodell was interviewed today and indicated that he would make a decision this week on Pacman. Having him back with the Cowboys could be another boost that might just bring them over the top to help secure a wildcard spot.
