There's some rather eclectic concerts in NYC this weekend, with Chinese experimental rock groups Carsick Cars and P.K. 14 making a rare appearance on Saturday night at 7 P.M. at Santos Party House (100 Lafayette St. at Walker St.) for only $10.

Also Saturday night, German electronic group Modeselektor bring the raucous to the Music Hall of Williamsburg (66 North 6th St. between Kent and Wythe Aves.) in Brooklyn at 9:30 P.M. for $23 - $28. These guys have quickly gained a reputation of playing tremendous live shows.

Osso Quartet, a string quartet who've worked with everyone from Kanye West to the New Pornographers to Sufjan Stevens, will rework Stevens' seventh LP "Enjoy Your Rabbit" for a show at The Bell House (149 7th St. between Second and Third Aves.) in Gowanus, Brooklyn at 7:30 P.M. for $12.

Sunday night, supergroup Monsters of Folk, consisting of Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, and M. Ward, will play the Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway at 74th St.) in the Upper West Side at 8 P.M. for $50.

Wolfmother, who've got a new rhythm section and a new album, "Cosmic Egg," will play Terminal 5 (610 W. 56th St. at Eleventh Ave.) at 8 P.M. for $27 - $30. Wolfmother will play the Music Hall of Williamsburg (see address above) in Brooklyn on Monday night at 8:30 P.M. for $27 - $30.

Also Monday night, The Levon Helm Band, fronted by The Band's drummer and vocalist, will be at City Winery (155 Varick St. at Vandam St.) in Tribeca at 7 P.M. for $20. This appearance marks the release of "Midnight Ramble,"a book about his series of live shows upstate in Woodstock. There will be a signing and a "musical sampling" as well.
