This October 31, the annual Village Halloween Parade in New York City's Greenwich Village will showcase the grandiose and the ghoulish, the freaks and the geeks with various costumes and colorful, tasty candy will fill the bags of precocious trick-or-treaters. But for all its modern oddity, Halloween has some very Catholic roots.
