If you are looking for a great way to pamper your mom (or yourself) this Mother’s Day, a great option that is always a hit is purchasing a gift certificate to a local spa.

You can even make it an extra special day and book a mini-getaway for you and you your mom to enjoy a few favorite services. Lucky for you, there are some amazing organic and natural spas in and around the Seattle Metro area.

Here are a two that I found:

Mode Organic Salon – The website definitely needs a bit of work. But the reviews on this salon are wonderful. The owner of the salon, Joe Carling took great care in choosing the products and keeping the ingredients sulfate free, ammonia free, and Paraben free. These are some of the toxic offenders you’ll want to keep out of your beauty routine. From skincare to hair color to perms, you will find natural alternatives for your favorite salon services.

Products: John Masters, Eminence, Organic Colour System

Location: 1424 Fourth Ave Ste 4C 4th Fl (at Pike Street (Fourth & Pike Building)
Seattle, WA 98101

Shampoo Bar – Based on the reviews I’ve read about this salon, you can trust that you will experience an amazing level of service. You will find a printable $10 off coupon for your first visit. With 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, the owner Nancy Cole has an appreciation for going organic and the benefits to your hair and your health.

Location: 10530 Greenwood Avenue North, Seattle, Washington, 98133

The search continues. Do you have a favorite organic spa or salon, let me know with a comment below and I’ll make sure to add it to my (growing) green list of beauty spots in Seattle. I'd love to hear about your experience.

Enjoy!
