As we near the holiday season traveling for pleasure is probably the farthest thing from your mind. The time has changed, the weather is cooler, and summer is long gone; but, the time of year has arrived when both sugar cane and corn mazes are in season.
Both types of mazes only last for about a month before they are gone, so now is an excellent opportunity to take a short drive and have fun with the entire family. There are several mazes located in Louisiana, but among the best are 2 mazes one located right here near New Orleans, and the other in Pine Grove, La.
The maze in Pine Grove, is named Cajun Country Corn Maze, and has been in business for 10 years. In addition to the maze there are a variety of activities including; a slide on a corn conveyor, a kiddie ride pulled by a tractor, a hay ride pulled by a tractor, picnic tables, and a variety of other kiddie games. In addition to all the fun, you can save some money too. Click here for a printable coupon.
The maze in Terrebone Parish (Theriot, LA), and was created by Artist Anne Senstad, and is truly a site to see. It has no definite day for closing, but it will be open until sometime in November when they harvest the sugar cane. It is located pat Dularge, on highway 315 south of Houma.
So take advantage of this once a year experience and take the short drive to the mazes located throughout Louisiana. It is truly a fun time for the whole family and cost friendly too!
