You and three friends have done it. Each of you chips in $100 for a starter budget, and throw everything else on your credit card, to be paid back later. You have a space, parking, and distance between you and the nearest neighbor. Here is a list of ten local (or willing to travel nominal distance) bands and the economic breakdown of each show, some speculation included.

$400 Starter budget
- $150 for kegs
- $250 deposit for band booking

Then invite 100 people at $10/head. Surprise, 140 show up. $1400 cash money. You figure out that you will actually hear a sick band on old cousin Joe's farm and make some money, depending on how big you want to go, bandwise. Just remember, you may end up stuck with travel expenses if your band has come a long distance.

If done right, you could end up with some jack back. Or go all out and splurge away on something more monumental (check out ASG if you are a fan of metal and imagine them in your backyard). Oh what fun it could be.
